about us

Bent Dime Winery was born from a deep-rooted passion for wine, cocktail culture, and the art of traditional liqueur-making. The limitations of the American licensing system sparked the idea to experiment with wine as a base to create cocktail ingredients for wine and beer establishments. Experimentation began, infusing and aging wine and sake. Kan I haf ein Spritzen?

the origin of the spritz Movement

And The Spritz was born. Spritz is white wine Spritzen (splashed in german) with sparkling water. Live shot of Austohungarian army unwinding in piazza san marco after a killing day on the battlefield.

Spritz Macchiato (Stained Spritz)

“Macchiato” means “stained”—and in this case, it refers to the addition of a splash of liqueur to the classic Spritz, subtly altering its color and character. Over time, countless variations of this cocktail have emerged, with the freshest of all being the Lemoncello Spritz—a bright, citrus-forward take that’s as refreshing as it is iconic.

The Aperitivo Ritual

Work’s done, but it’s too early to head home—so you do what Italians have done for generations: stop by the bar, no reservation needed, and unwind with a Spritz (or two). The low ABV and refreshing taste make it the perfect candidate for these in-between moments. It’s not just a drink. It’s a pause. A reset. A moment to relax and reconnect before the evening begins. Going out for dinner? The ritual doesn’t change. A quick stop for an aperitivo to open the appetite—and the conversation. Already at the restaurant? Perfect. Before you even sit down, order a Spritz at the bar. Share a laugh. Ease into the night. The aperitivo isn’t a drink. It’s a rhythm. A ritual. A social spark before the main event.
